Problem with chipping of coating
This follows on comments from another 'rater' on this product LV0110. I had the same bad experience, I wish I could show the pictures in this review. I have a Kohler double sink in almond with garbage disposal and basket strainer. Paid lots of money for this and it is lovely ... except. The cover trim that seals on top of the sink openings developed small cracks / pits. I purchased through Amazon a decent repair kit which does match Kohler almond color well - called Porc-a-Fix. Latter is a gel coat that has durability. I recommend as a first step. On a separate small bar / prep sink on the island also almond (has disposal) a very small defect showed up and Porc-a-Fix worked and the trim has not required any further attention. HOWEVER, on the Kohler double sink both sides continue to chip and each time I touch up carefully. Problem is (I am an engineer) the sink get almost continuous service and (don't repeat this) I can't train others in the household to be gentle. By now I have several layers of gel coat and...well, you can imagine what it looks like. Kohler should sell crap product like this - making it out of polypropylene, nylon or ABS/SAN would have done nicely. You can buy Porc-a-Fix on eBay. Mine was from dpf plumbing see example at [...]
