Almost just what I was looking for
Needed to replace my yellow, enamel covered steel teakettle I'd had for over 43 years (a wedding gift!!!) because water got inadvertently left in it over the winter with resulting rust inside that I was not able to remove. Not only did I need a kettle that had a removable lid but also a handle that swings down so that it can be filled using a dipper since there's no running water at our island camp. I was hoping to find another colorful replacement but all those styles could not have been filled except from a faucet. I love the large capacity as I use it to wash and rinse dishes. The whistling feature was a nice bonus and works great...convenient as I'm obviously becoming forgetful!!!So, it certainly does all that I need and want it to do, just wish it could have been more colorful.

You want hot water, you got it!
I never have a enough water for tea, cooking or anything else but problem solved. A gallon of hot water should solve anybody’s problem. The handle will not get hot. I always pick up the kettle with my hands and if you don’t want to do that, you will be getting a folded mitt for your kettle. I have been using it for month and no rust, spots, chips, leaks, spillage, or water problems whatsoever. If your home needs enough water for tea, coffee, hot cereal, and cooking in the morning, when company comes over, or you just want to have it ready in general I can’t recommend this kettle enough. I love it.

I really like this kettle
I think the material it's made from must be more heat-conductive than my last couple of kettles. I usually leave my kettle set to 2 or 3, so that it won't take too long to come up to a boil when I want it. This one comes to a boil from 2 in a matter of seconds, which is better than having to wait a minute or more for previous kettles. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the knob on the lid came off after just a few days. It turns out that the screw used isn't long enough to go through the little collar that provides distance between the lid and the knob - I just took off the collar and screwed the knob directly onto the lid. It makes it more of a trick to get the lid off without burning myself, but if I ever feel like it's worth the trouble, I can just get a longer screw. Other than that, it's very good.

Great teapot.
So I got this for my husband. He has a habit of boiling water and forgetting and then boiling it down to nothing...so it seriously took me 7 years to think of a teapot🤦🏻♀️We needed a big one and this is awesome!! He can make his pitcher of sweet tea in this. It whistles loud enough for him to hear and keeps whistling until he takes it off (why didn’t I think of this sooner)🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️It cleans up really well and looks great just sitting on the stove.

Be aware this is VERY LARGE, works great, but takes up a lot of space
We leave the kettle on the stove top all the time and so the fact that this is super large means it's a real estate hog. It replaced a too little kettle and I think I went a little overboard on looking for a larger size kettle as this is really large. Works fairly well but because it is large it can be a little more awkward to pour from and my husband got a slight steam burn. I would recommend for a large household but be warned it is large.

Largest teapot
This was the largest teapot I could find. I make a lot of tea every day, and it was necessary to have a big one. Yes the handle seems a little bit flimsy where it attaches to the kettle, but I am careful and I’ve had it for a few months with no problems.
