Size:Update Version IngenuiTEA is a brilliant - arguably the simplest - device for preparing loose tea. Unlike the 'French Press' teaots which crush and bruise the leaves, our teapot's ingenious design uses gravity, not force, to strain the leaves. The result is great taste with less effort. To filter, simply place the ingenuiTEA atop your cup. A valve at the bottom will open, allowing crystal-clear tea to flow, while a mesh filter retains the leaves and sediment. The clean-up is equally as easy as the teapot is dishwasher safe. Made in Taiwan using food-grade plastic. Available in 28 oz. and 16oz size that's ideal for brewing a pitcher of iced tea. Perfect for foodservice, restaurant and other professional industrial uses. Bulk pricing available through Wholesale.

DOES NOT LEAK!!! Read my review to learn. Great infuser!
First of all, I LOVE my ingenuiTea and use it every other day to brew iced tea.Secondly, I noticed mine leaked too. Since I bought my smaller one from a store, I contacted the store about the leaking. Together we figured out that it needed to be disassembled in order to ensure the gaskets & strainer are secured properly. This is easily accomplished by removing the strainer inside first & then popping out the rubber plunger that seats above the rubber gasket in the middle. You should know how to do this to clean your infuser anyway.I have not experienced any leaking since I learned how to assemble/disassemble. I hope this helps others.Lastly, I have bought the larger infuser and use this one to brew a 67 oz pitcher of iced tea. The large one does not disassemble; but I have not noticed any leakage with mine. Some have mentioned that these won’t sit on top of certain sized cups/pitchers etc. That’s simply not true. You can sit it atop of anything which will activate the plunger. Just be sure that the hole where the tea drains is centered over whatever container you desire your tea strained in. You can use your fingers to push the bottom up to strain every drop of tea out once it seems to strained.I’m not sure why this simple device has given so many people problems; but I would ignore their comments and think logically for yourself. These people are way off and just did not have the mental fortitude to figure out how to work what is a really simple device.

This is my 2nd one purchased. First one started ...
This is my 2nd one purchased. First one started leaking after some time and got a little stained. I figured it was time for a new one. This one leaks wayyyy more than the 2nd one have to constantly put it under a plate so i dont have tea all over my desk after a few minutes.

Initially great, but start leaking after few weeks!
I liked this product and decided to buy it among other options available on Amazon. However, after few weeks of using it, I noticed it is leaking from the bottom and making a big mess and leaving Tea stains all over my desk. Is there is way to fix this? Why this is happening over time? I would give a 5-stare if it did not leak but now it is making a huge mess everywhere and everytime that I make tea. I hope I can fix this. I also wish there was a way to clean inside the lock-in mechanism since it get dirty/black over time. Thanks, Kamran

1 star too many
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM KAENKAY.Received my teapot yesterday, and it is obviously used. The strainer is tea stained, the plastic has hard water stains all over it, and there are even tea grounds still in the strainer.VERY UNETHICAL, to sell a used product as new.Nowhere in the description does it say I was buying a used product, and the price absolutely did not reflect that it was used.To add insult to injury, they will not return/refund/exchange the product. So I'm stuck with a $30 piece of garage sale trash.

This thing is fantastic!
This is a perfect appliance for brewing the perfect cup of tea. You simply add your tea, add hot water, and watch it brew to perfection. When it's finished, you simply set it on top your cup and it drains right in. It has the potential to make extra, so if you want to add to your cup you can. Only does it make great team, it's kind of fun to watch. I bought one for my wife, and she loves this thing. I think the flavor of the tea fills the water better than when it's in a T-ball or all clumped up to the teabag. I think that's part of what makes the tea taste so flavorful and causes it to lack the bitterness that you can sometimes get with a T-ball. I'm here to tell you, you will really enjoy this. We've gone to restaurants that specialized and tea, and they also use these devices. I think that also says something about them. Anyway, try it… You'll like it!

Listen to the reviews regarding leaks
We ordered two of these a few months ago. Great size, great concept, and was awesome for about three weeks. One started to leak within a month. At the time, it was just a small leak, nothing a small plate below it couldn't resolve, but after a few more uses, became completely unusable. The other broke down this week. It didn't leak filling it up. It didn't leak setting it on my desk. It leaked when I walked away to get something, leaving me with a huge wet mess upon my return. Zero zen for me that day. I trusted the nearly 5 stars this received but should have believed the reviews regarding the leak issue.

Shame about the puddles
Saw this and, always a sucker for a gadget, thought I'd give it a go. It makes a good brew and the transparent body really lets you see how the strength is coming along. The filter does catch all but the smallest of the leaves. My only gripe and the reason for my less than stellar star rating is IT LEAKS! Sometimes a droplet, sometimes a dribble, and sometimes a full on puddle. I've taken to always using with a saucer as I was getting bored of wiping up the spills.

Solid, clever product but cleaning difficult.
Bought this product as a gift for my wife after using one elsewhere. On the whole it's a good product made of sturdy, thick plastic. The draining mechanism is very clever as it allows the water to pick up final notes of flavour whilst pouring, and the tea does seem to keep hot whilst brewing which is great. No spills or leaks yet and we are a few months into use.On the negative side, the lid pops off relatively easily when cleaning. I think this is to make cleaning easier but my concern is that the lid seems to then come off more easily time after time. The other negative is cleaning. I don't like to fill with water and pour leaves into the sink when cleaning, so there's a need to tip the leaves into a bin. However, to do this, you need to use a spoon to scrape out the leaves and I'm concerned at how easy you could damage the base. Any holes in the mesh strainer and it becomes useless so care is needed.Overall, a very clever and useful product which brews tasty tea and creates little mess but there maybe products out there that are easier and quicker to clean.

You'll actually use your loose-leaf tea!
If, like me, you and your other half enjoy drinking tea and have acquired (bought, been bought, found somewhere) ridiculous amounts of loose-leaf tea and then found tea-infusers to be a royal pain then this is the product for you.Pros- Tea brews quick because there's plenty of room for it to float around.- No awkward pouring (the tea comes out of its bottom).- It's super easy to clean.Cons- It's quite big? About the size of a mug? So if your cupboards are at their absolute limit...

Impressive and Ingenious Design - can be used for tea or ground coffee
The photographs do not do this product justice; the plastic is much like a crystal clear acrylic and looks more expensive. The functionality of the teapot is almost futuristic and is lot of fun to use. It can be used with loose tea or tea bags; I have also used it with ground coffee the filter is very fine. The only minor problem is that there is always a single drip after pouring, which typically happens if you have sat it on a table/cloth without a small saucer under it. Apart from this i have had no other issues with it and use it most days - guests and, in particular children, are usually intrigued by its operation. To go with the ingenuitea i would recommend a clear cup or mug so that you can see when it is full without the risk of it over flowing. Great gadget
Just loved this. Always avoided loose tea before because of the hassle of cleaning out the pot but with this I just knock the pot on the bin and sluice out the stubborn leaves with water. Because of the large owning you can get your whole hand in to clean it. We’ve been using the rolled tea rather which are larger which may make it easier. The tea tastes sooo much better than teabags and I love that the 850ml is enough for me to have 2 cups as 1 is never enough. If there was a separate dishwasher removeable insert this would be a 5 star for ease of cleaning as don’t want to put whole pot in as all plastic goes cloudy eventually. The kids love it too so are happy to make mum & dad a cuppa - bonus
