Decent economy crispy Romaine lettuce, but "expire" within 2 days😒...again!!😡
These are comparable to Sainsbury's or Tesco Romaine economy "pairs"--Iceland only sells singles for £1.00. That should have earned it 5 stars. But the first order, the expiry was within 2 days! Same thing again with the second order.😠The first time, I tried sticking them immediately in the refrigerator. But within 4 days, one of the heads started to turn into brown slime. Even carefully cutting just from the inner top did not prevent the inevitable "fur coat" development. Into the trash!So really, at best you're paying £1 for a single edible head of lettuce, because Morrison's insists on palming off soon-to-expire perishables on their (often vulnerable) Amazon channel customers! Some of us are still stuck at home shielding/isolating/incapacitated and cannot "pop to the shops"! Have Morrison's no shame?! This latest order, most of my fruit and vegetables were set to expire within 2 days!! What an utter disgrace!!!😡
