Great metric only tape measure!
I recently spent several weeks working in another country that uses the metric system. (Basically everyone but the USA!) Anyhow, as I was doing some construction / carpentry projects with my son I was using 2 of his tape measures that he purchased across the pond. The scales on his tape measures had SAE and Metric markings. It was actually more confusing than you might think to have both scales. At times you could make mistakes by looking at the wrong markings. I use a Stanley FATMAX tape measure in the US so I looked for a metric only version. This tape measure is a beast. It's the HULK of tape measures. The metric only scale is clearly marked and the wide and stiff tape works really well when reaching out to longer distances. The blade lock works great but the super clear metric only scale is excellent. I love doing construction / carpentry with the metric system since it is so much easier. I just need the US to finally move to metric so I don't need two different versions. I highly recommend this product.

Metric is so much easier
Seriously, who actually likes fractions?!I had a ver complicated wall hang of 3 TV’s, a PS5, Amazon Echo 4th gen and an NVR.Since the studs were not where I needed them and everything was a little offset to center on the room there was a lot of measuring involved.I spend 3 days trying to mark it all up so I could put in the wood backing and the drill all the locations so everything is supported. Finally, I remembered that I not only learned the metric system in high school, but my time as a Marine only reinforced it.So I put down my crayon snack, got on the app and ordered this tape measure.Still a FatMax so a win there and it does 5 Meters.Tool me less than 20 min to lay it all out and start hanging stuff.Yeah, I could play the fraction game, but it is the pain. And for those of you who don’t know, metric is actually the official measuring system of the US.Apparently we as a populous refuse to bother.

A Quality Centimeter Tape Measure
Inch and millimeter tape measures drive me nuts. Centimeters are much more intuitive, provided the project is entirely personal in nature. It also has the typical quality I've come to expect from Stanley's FatMax line.

Detailed overview from a drafter
Product Review: 4/5 (Class 2 tape measure, repeatable accuracy of ±2.3mm at 10m)The spring tension of the tape is very consistent and smooth and is able to pull to the full 10m and a bit passed, don’t fully extend the tape to the max limit yourself, you’ll damage or break the spring. Looks the same as the 3rd image with numbers 33-811 under the large 10m. Product is made in Thailand and a 2017 product. Locking mechanic doesn’t really work for the first 8cm due to the blade armor. Forcing the locking mechanic with a good amount of pressure will indent the blade armor and if forced to fully lock will probably cause some damage. Passed the blade armor the locking mechanism works very easily. All measurement lines are solid with no issues. However, some numbers seem to have a paint issue as the black numbers have tiny livers of paint missing. Not a problem viewing far way, but up close noticeable. Every 10cm numbering is red and has more a noticeable paint defect and is on each 10cm increment, probably. I stopped counting at 360cm. Stanley must be reusing an inch plastic die mold for this metric tape measure case as there is a 3-1/2” labeling for the body length under the belt clip. Also, the tape can stand out 3.3m. (I’ll nit pick a little here) The mold they used for the thumb lock looks like rough sand mold but is still very slippery if your hand isn’t positioned properly.I’ve used a Staley power lock tape measurer with a duel system tape(5m/16’) for about 3 years now, so I noticed the paint defects. But I’ll live with it considering Stanley doesn’t sell a metric only tape measurer here in the United States. I wish I could get the German 10m tape measurer. Sadly, I can’t on amazon US.I use metric measurements daily at work so I’m hoping this will bridge the mental gap for me with mentally visualizing how big something is. Normally I convert to Inches.International Packaging: 1/5 stars-PACKAGE SIZE (291mm x 166mm x 59mm)- This packaging has seen better days considering how smushed it was. The packaging is made of 3 pieces of a 3 layered cardboard that is glued in place. Put the product in with scrunched up paper the size of a fist, fold the sides over the product and paper, wrap the remaining over the top of that and set the adhesive under the product. I'm surprised it didn't fall out the sides considering it just needs to land with enough force to push a side out.

Hands Down My Favorite!
I have been sold on Fatmax measuring tapes for longer than I can remember. Blade sturdiness, extension and durability are the main reasons for this. I normally use Imperial and always have a couple of backups at all times.
