EXUVIANCE Detox Mud Mask (new)

This arrives in a really nice box. In the box, you will find this tube. Now, untwist the cap and you will find a silver seal. Peal that off and replace the cap. These are all the ways that this tube is protected as it travels to your home. Pretty nice!Now, this comes out jet black (like a lot of popular charcoal masks). And, it smells really great! Very light, very refreshing.This disperses super easily over skin and has a very cool feeling ... again, very refreshing. This does not migrate or drip at all. This means that you can apply this and do your chores without any worries.In the past, I have always had troubling removing these types of masks cleanly. So, I applied this, let it dry down, and then popped in the shower. Just by showering and cleaning as usually, nearly every speck came off. No marks, no stains, nothing! I'm impressed! Equally as important, my skin was so incredibly soft. Wow!I would recommend this to anyone seeking a detoxifying mask. Really nice!

Exuviance Detox Mud MaskThis mud mask comes in a squeeze tube for easy, mess-free dispensing. The product separates a bit in the tube, so you get a clear, slippery liquid (probably one of the emollients or the dimethicone) that leaks out ahead of the charcoal colored cream. It spreads easily across the skin without any pulling or tugging and about a half teaspoon will cover your entire face. You could also use this on specific areas instead and use even less. You can leave it on anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. My thin layer was already dry after 5 so I removed it then. It was easy to rinse off with just water and my fingers, unlike many mud masks.While my skin didn't feel irritated while wearing the mask or afterward, it was red for a few hours after removing the mask. Not sure whether the acetyl glucosamine or the fragrance caused the issue, though it's more likely to be the fragrance. Speaking of which, this mask doesn't smell good, even with the added fragrance. I did not find the mask to be drying.I'm an oily skin type that is old enough to have a few lines and wrinkles and I use AHAs, BHAs and PHAs as a regular part of my skincare routine. I'm surprised this mask irritated my skin, so I'd say proceed with caution if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to fragrance.

Black, smooth, fresh smelling. I use this on and around my nose as that is really the only place I get black heads and sebaceous filaments. Takes several treatments for me to see elimination, but I remember with the very first use the black heads were reduced (as in, it removed portion from surface- went from black to more brown, telling me it didnt quite get down the pore, but it is working in it). The mask is easy to pat into place, and it does not drip nor flake dry. I can go off any do other chores while I wait for it to dry. I usually leave it on for full 15 minutes.The is the new bottle. Background info - I have oily acne prone skin with a nose covered in craters (pores) I have to exfoliate daily or there is buildup. Nose strips are drying and damaging so I use this mud mask instead. It’s very soothing and clears out clogged pores. My nose is constantly oily and this reduces the oil field without drying out my skin. It wipes off easily with warm water and a wash cloth or face scrubbed. Leaves my nose clean, clear, and refreshed. After using, I find my nose doesn’t have as much oil the next day or so. So it keeps it in check. I wouldn’t use this if you have dry skin as I feel it’ll be too harsh. I only use it on my nose.

Another wonderful product by Exuviance (though I can't figure out why this is priced high like it is while I'm also seeing another Exuviance detox mud mask that boasts the same 23% active charcoal, clay NeoGlucosamine blend, and both are in 3m4ml tunes, both are black, both have the same description, and ingredients).This is truly a silky smooth mud mask. The smoothest ive ever used. Its black. So it paints on easily. My face and pores feel decongested and so clean after using this. I think its an awesome mask. Just wish I understood the difference between this and the other Exuviance mask aside from price.
