Perfectly functional
I used a similar ring sling with my previous children and find them very handy. The ring sling is very quick to put on, and lightweight and relatively compact, for ease to carry with you in a bag or pram. It's very quick to put a baby/ toddler into it too. It is not a hands-free carrier so always keep one hand on baby for safety but distributes their weight well to give you support in carrying them. Tiny babies love the 'hammock' position, bigger babies can sit up facing the chest or in a hip carry. Not recommended for front facing positions.My baby fell asleep immediately when I put her in this sling!
