Nice toys but loud unfriendly wand. . . but wait, don't fret, there is a solution. . .
I have purchased from Pet Fit For Life 3 times and it's usually the replacement toys without the wand and this time I purchased the wand along with the toys.As usual, the toys are fine. The wand works good but my baby man, JoshuaTree cannot enjoy playing with the toys attached to the wand b/c the wand tip eyelet is metal along with the lobster claws on the attachment string as well as on the snake toy and the snake cannot slink whilst all this bothersome metal on metal noise is keeping JoshuaTree from enjoying his new toys attached to the wand (welp, that was a mouthful). I find the noise very off putting and loud and I want to use the wand but only after I figure out how to make the wand enjoyable and quiet enough for my baby man, because I, am stuper mum!It took about 30 seconds of brain power to figure a solution for the wand from hell. I took an unused twist tie (yes, unused b/c it lies flat and makes for more room, unlike the shriveled up used twist ties we have on our bread) and wrapped that sucker around the offending metal eyelet on the tip of the pole and wallah, a high tech and much more quiet wand that JoshuaTree, now loves to play with and I will wear my new genius ribbon with pride only, if I can colour coordinate with my outfits.

falls apart, has dangerous hard metal pieces, manufacturer is defensive
There are problems with this toy, and they've been discussed in many reviews before mine:A. The wand is in two pieces. They do not screw or hook together. They rely on BRUTE FORCE of you shoving the upper piece into the lower piece as hard as you possibly can and hoping they don't pop apart during play. If you have any gripping issues, such as arthritis or numbness in your fingers, or if you don't do much power lifting, then good luck.B. There are hard, noisy, potentially dangerous when flying through the air to entice your cat, metal pieces in various parts of the toy. I was terrified my cat would bite down on the metal, or get hit while the attachments were dancing around. But the worst part of these design flaws has to be the unforgivable defensiveness of the manufacturer when anyone points them out. I came to the reviews expecting to find someone who had these problems and either realized there was something special you had to do. or discovered they had a defective item and the manufacturer replaced it with, for instance, a wand with two pieces that twist together solidly, or maybe there are supposed to be little felt covers for the metal pieces that weren't included in my shipment, something simple like that.Instead, I found repeated replies from the manufacturer stating it was "surprising" that customer after customer kept having the same problem because "look at all our thousand positive reviews" and "it's your fault for not shoving the pieces together hard enough."That is genuinely terrible response to a widespread complaint about a product that you make, and that kind of response from a manufacturer absolutely infuriates me.These are toys for cats, which many people think of as their family. A slew of customers have pointed out potential issues with what you create. A manufacturer who cared about their product, their customers, or cats, would discontinue this item and instead release a new and improved version of the toy that A. twists securely together and B. has all the harsh metal pieces covered with a soft, squishy material, to protect cats and eliminate the metal noise.Amazon reviews are a TOOL for manufacturers to understand what customers dislike about your product so you can improve it and make your customers happy. It's not a personal attack for the manufacturer to refute and turn back on the customer -- who, by the way, is providing you with FREE FEEDBACK after spending money on your product and developing a real opinion about it. It's the world's biggest focus group and you're completely ignoring the opportunity it presents.Any company can, and often does, make a not-perfect product. Blaming your customers for being honest about the issues your product has, especially when many customers have pointed out the same 2 issues, shows that a company doesn't really care about the customer, nor cats in this case, and is not willing to learn or grow.I will be actively avoiding "Pet Fit for Life" products from now on. Not because one wand wasn't great. But because the manufacturer doesn't care that it isn't great.

How can something be rigid and flimsy at the same time? Nailed it!
Let's start off with what you're not getting. You're not getting an elastic cord, a flexible or long pole, soft or chewable hooks and connectors, or a plethora of highly durable lures. The cat I'm watching likes it enough to chase it. That plus the fact that it was all of $11 and I don't feel good about returning something that's already been played with is why I'm keeping it.The pole is two pieces that loosely slide together to form 2 1/2 feet, including the handle. I've logged maybe 20 minutes playing with it and it's fallen apart 3 times. The string or cord is the same 2 1/2 feet so it pretty much means you've got to be right next to the lure in order to use it. This certainly doesn't work for sitting in one place and giving your cat space to interact with the lure. As I stated above, neither the pole or cord have any stretch to them which reduces how much tension you can put on the lure to counteract your cat's grip/pull. The connections are all aluminum I think which causes them to click together. This has the effect of making the point where the cord attaches to the pole as alluring as the point where the lure attaches to the cord but a lot less fun for your cat to attack.I don't think I'll try another one of these toys online. This one was sub-par enough to make me question an $11 purchase.

Last 3 years and 1 month with 2 cats playing with it
We purchased this item from Amazon December 23rd 2016, on January 28th 2020 it met it's demise. We have 2 cats that have enjoyed this toy for 3 years, not bad for an $11 piece of fiberglass. I have read concerns of the metal attachment hurting kitties teeth, while I am sure it is possible, has not been an issue for us. Our lityle girl is a cheer and she has not chipped any teeth. As far as the fiberglass rod it is quit flexible and when it snapped, it does not have a lot of loose strands of fiberglass, to stick in your fingers. I give 4 stars just because it isn't perfect, the metal areas of attachment are large and I do prefer the ball chain attachments better. But most likely buy this product again
