Smells great, long lasting scent and seems to work

My hair is somewhat wavy short, and downright curly if I let it grow out.. which I don't care for and is made worse if I use anything that adds volume. It's also oily within a day if I don't wash it everyday. I basically never use conditioner, which adds to the oily-ness of it, if I do develop some dry scalp I'll use some of that blue Herbal Essence coconut conditioner, that usually takes care of it without having to use something like Head & Shoulders.This shampoo is about the only one I've found that leaves my hair nice and clean, it lays flat how I want it without too much drying (it's worth noting we use a water softener that probably helps with that). Most importantly for me my hair actually stays mostly straight, it feathers when dry. I also enjoy the scent, it's what I would describe as a 'classic' scent, more like a aftershave or some soaps I remember being around growing up in the 80's.I still don't use conditioner, no hair oil or other product.. nothing extra, it just works for me. If your hair situation sounds similar give it a try.

OMG this shampoo is NO JOKE! I am a big fan of all Clubman products, I have used Clubman grooming products my entire life ( I am 37 years old now ) and I used to use them a lot when i was younger... seeing as how they're not in high demand now I wanted to stock up on all the aftershaves and colognes I could find but then I decided against it cos the smell of most of the Clubman Pinaud products is just too retro for me, but on a whim I decided to pick up this Country Club shampoo and their Eau de Quinine hair tonic because I used to have problems with my hair. My hair used to be too dry and not healthy but then I switched to a different shampoo that solved the problem, but in my line of thinking your hair can never be too shiny or healthy-looking so I went and looked for the ultimate answer for that question... and I think I found it in Clubman Country Club shampoo! This shampoo is vitamin-rich, thick, it lathers well and I believe it is best for thin to fine hair because the thickening properties of this shampoo are second to none... my hair is already thick so I only use a little bit to clean my hair and I condition it by leaving it in my hair for a few more minutes than usual and it then when I'm done I massage a little bit of Eau de Quinine into my scalp and then I use a little bit of Clubman hair gel to give my hair the great hold I'm looking for... I have excellent results ever since I've started using it ( a month ago ) and there's no reason not to try anything else. This is truly great stuff and it deserves all the accolades it gets!

You get quite a bit for the money good value, smells good and a little bit goes a long way.

Been purchasing shampoos in department stores all my life and thought I had settled on the best choices and the most environmentally friendly ones. I tried Clubman Country Club Shampoo to see what it is like, and I was pleasantly surprised. In spite of its lower price, it is the best I have used, ever. Doesn't take a huge amount, but it cleans very well, ingrown hairs are a thing of the past, and no oily after-effects and hair remains clean longer. Adds body to my somewhat fine hair, makes it much easier to manage. Also has a very pleasant scent that does not overpower any other products.This is a great buy! I think it is less expensive because it is a simple, utilitarian container. However it manages, it is wonderful. After two bottles in the last two months I am sold on it. Can't see changing for a long time.

I love the scent of this shampoo and the thick lather it produces.It’s good to shampoo your hair then leave on for a minute or so for conditioning.It is very good at stripping oils so you might experience dryness if you use too much or leave it on too long. There’s also concern about methylparabens. These could cause contact dermatitis in some people so it might be hard to say if this ingredient or the combination of ingredients is responsible for drying out the scalp if you experience it.But it is shampoo after all. So the amount you need will depend on your hair situation. I follow it up with Clubman hair tonic and Jeris with the added oil.If you are worried about getting a knockoff, know that this product is sold directly at the Clubman website. This product is really about $7, but with shipping, it costs the same as on Amazon (~$12). You’re really not saving money on Amazon since you are paying for the shipping anyhow (even if it’s “free with Prime”).

I've been a Clubman fan for years. I use a number of their aftershaves and their hair gel on occasion. I decided to try the shampoo and was not disappointed. It has that same great scent, lathers up easily and leaves my hair clean and smelling good. I have used it a second time and left the lather in as I finished up cleaning the rest of my body. Seems to improve the feel of my hair, but maybe that's just my expectation.In a market that is full of fruity shampoos and manly body washes, this traditional smell has stood the test of time. It's distinctive, old-time smelling and I've received multiple comments while wearing it.If you're considering this item, also go with the talc powder. Both are great products and will not disappoint.

Great smelling shampoo and really gives a good clean to your hair and scalp. A little drop of this shampoo is more then enough also it's going to last a very long time that being said the price of this is well worth it for the amount.

Very happy with this shampoo. I love the smell of Pinaud Clubman products and this delivers the same barbershop smell. The shampoo itself is good. Decent lather. I bought it for the smell, not caring so much about its quality as a shampoo but find myself really liking thw condition that it leaves my hair in. Will buy again and use it as my main shampoo.
