Saves time!
Use these to support and shield electric devices after moving them out slightly away from where they were originally installed.I use them on a new siding install where the siding adds about an inch of depth. A second layer of drywall or even new paneling would be similar. The shape of this extension supports the device and helps prevent the plug from moving around and breaking like when attempting to plug a cord into a improperly supported device. This also shields the electric contacts from contacting the wood structure.I use tin snips and cut an edge of the extension, front to back, so I can install without any disconnection of wires and also keeps you from running afoul of any licensing laws that may be triggered by disconnection of wires.

These worked wonders for my electrical outlets
I recently moved in to a house that had a lot of painted over plugs, and, not to mention, old and several broken plugs. Many could also be described as "mushy". The switches needed some updating, too. So I decided to just replace all visible plugs and switches. Upon removing some of the receptacles, it became obvious why they were mushy. Some doorknob recessed the electrical boxes behind the drywall-- I couldn't believe it. Another problem was that a lot of the boxes had stripped out screw holes-- that's another issue. So, I purchased a 25 pack of these to help as many outlet boxes as I could. These really worked great! With longer screws, I was able to grip some non-stripped out holes in most cases. And when I was done, the receptacle was very sturdy and wasn't going anywhere. These are also easy to trim to size when need-be. Mostly, they worked fine as is. But there was one instance where I didn't really have enough slack in the wires to get one of these in and around the cables. So I trimmed it down, and was able to slip it in to place and true up the switch properly. These are great to fix the work of someone before you! I no longer have to worry about pulling plugs out of my walls or a plug moving too much. Highly recommend if you need them\, but hopefully you don't need them.

OK and will get the job done but more flex than I like
These were a bit more flexible than I had anticipated them to be. I ended up using spacers behind them to get a snug fit for the outlet. they would sometimes bind on the wiring in the box because of the taper requiring them to be trimmed. There are better options out there, you get what you pay for.

Does the job
They're on the thin side, which makes fastening a bit tedious (as to not bend them). But the thickness allows for easier cutting - the amount of wiring in some boxes would not accommodate the full sized product. Overall, I am pleased - WAAAAY less trouble than taking off all 70ish boxes to bring them out less than a 1/2"; and worth the cost there.

Bad quality, not wide enough to fit American standard gang boxes.
Quality was awful. They do not link as advertised. The overall construction is awful. They are not at all square or large enough to expand a socket. Totally worthless ot good

Great electrical box extenders!
The flexibility of the plastic, and the ease with cutting the boxes with a scissor for trimming makes these an excellent choice. I have used these to extend boxes past new tile back-splash, in a bathroom with new (thicker) drywall, and to extend power into new wall cabinets. In every case these extenders were easy to use (even without removing the wires to the plug - with BREAKERS OFF).

Look for something else.
Cone shaped so difficult to install. Biggest disappointment is that the tangs don’t offer any more support than the ears on the receptacle. Poor design. Does not give the sturdy resistance I am looking for from this product.

Spacers are the way to go
Just a flimsy piece of plastic, no bigger than a outlet that it is designed to flush up to your wall surface. Better off buying the spacers that go behind the outlet screws.

Arlington Industries BE1-25 Electrical Outlet...
Perfect, we are using them where the previous owner put drywall in a mobile home but did not move the electrical boxes out, so they where inverted and moved when you plugged something in. Great product and is as specified while saving ones like us time, effort and money. Great invention.

Great stuff.
Saved me hours of pulling boxes forwards after a change in the wall composition. Work great as described easy enough to cut as needed, tough enough to have no fear of breakage. Just wish they came with long electrical screws, but I'm nitpicking.

These seem a bit flimsy, but they're fairly easy to work with and quite versatile since you can trim them to size. Made my project much easier!

Great product
I gave 5 stars because the product itself is exactly what I expected. Problem is, I waited approximately 4 months for it. They were all out of stock.
