Just one day prior I had ordered a different Q hook and it had the dent in the middle which was NOT what they advertised in the picture. So I ordered this set and with a slight adjustment with an Emory board of a small snag, they were perfect.

These hooks are great. I even leave them as a place holder when I put a project down and they stay in well.

These are not super smooth. Yarn tends to get caught on the hooks

Just got this today, already noticed that the wood was not smooth but rough. I was working with chenille yarn which is already notoriously difficult to work with, and when I started crocheting the yarn got caught on a crack. Pretty sure the wood will splinter into my hand if I kept using it. I really wanted to give this a try, I do love the way it looks and it’s rather comfortable in my hand, but it’s not smooth enough for my particular application and I will unfortunately have to return it for a plastic hook.
