Chasing Tomorrow

To clear up any confusion this book WAS NOT written by Sidney Sheldon. The author is Tilly Badshawe, who was asked to continue the series because of “her similar writing style” NO ONE compares to the great Sidney Sheldon. My problems start on page 11, it is mentioned that Max Googled someone. At this point of the book we are continuing right where we left off placing it in the mid to late 80s. Google wasn’t established until 1998. From that point on I found it hard to push forward. I felt like Tilly Bagshawe didn’t understand who the characters really were at their core and didn’t understand where the story was really coming from and where it was going. That came through in the writing. Almost every chapter has something written that completely takes me out of the story. Either with my being confused about the wayyyyy too detailed and unnecessary descriptions or with the dialogue being out of place for the characters I know so well. I have set this book down for weeks at a time trying to summon the energy to finish it- something I would have NEVER done with a Sidney Sheldon novel. Maybe Tilly Bagshawe is a great writer, I can’t speak on her other work, but this book is disappointing to say the least if you are a true Sidney Sheldon and Tracy Whitney fan. I recommend not reading If Tomorrow Comes right before it, it’s flaws will stick out even more, like a sore thumb. I would give yourself a few months between them.

I think she needs to be more realistic - two super con artists get beaten badly by some insurance man - a bit difficult to digest. And the near unbreakable love bond between the two leading characters is broken so easily by some third person - she needs to do better. But the tragedy after that - the longing of the two lovebirds has been nicely penned by Tilly (Kudos)!!

It was in my wishlist for too long and i finally bought it. Received the book in a good condition and the quality of the pages is fine. But I’ve given only 4 star because of a bookmark missing. It was supposed to be in every book we purchase but i didn’t receive one. Apart from that m happy with the purchase.

I really appreciate the fast delivery from Amazon I received the book within 3 days and that's just awesome, as far as the book is concerned if you have read "If Tommorrow Comes" by Sidney Sheldon you will immediately realize that this is not Sheldon's work, I am not at all saying that the book is bad, yes the story is too flat and there are just few twists and turn Tilly should have worked more in making this book more full of suspense than working heavily on emotional quotient.Still I liked the book enjoyed reading the book felt a bit nostalgic as I had read the book few years ago remembering all the characters. Great work by the Author and amazing delivery by Amazon

The print quality is not good especially the letters inside are blurred. But the book story is amazing and feeling bad for getting bad print for such an amazing tale !
