Turn Up or Slouch ... the choice is yours.
First, a useless bit of trivia ...When I was teenager back in the '70s, the beanie hat was often called the 'Benny' hat, this was due to the popularity of the character Benny Hawkins in Crossroads played by actor Paul Henry. Benny always wore a green woolly hat (much like a beanie).Anyway, back to the beanie in question, The Beechfield Turn Up Beanie. This is a rather nice fashionable beanie hat, in a soft, non itchy material, the material is actually thicker than it looks in the pictures. The Beechfield Turn Up Beanie comes in a variety of colours (I purchased four of them in different colours for my 16 year old son) these beanie hats are perfectly suited to male and female. My son has worn this beanie a number of times and this morning it was quite chilly when he left for college, he wore one of his Beechfield Turn Up Beanies and he informed me that it stayed on his head, kept his head warm and ears snug.My son also says that you can either wear this beanie as a turn up beanie or if you don't turn it up, the hat makes a great 'slouch' beanie ... now that's a turn up (sorry, bad joke, just couldn't resist)Another important point to mention, is that the Beechfield Beanie washes well (I machine wash the hats at 30 degrees) and they keep perfect shape.

Excellent
I have 4 of these now in different colours. Great price, wash up really well, seem to keep their shape, and most importantly of all, they keep my head warm.

Child Size
I've had two of these. One was trialled and then went to the jumble, the second was tried on and went back for a refund. I'd hoped it might vary from colour to colour. They would fit a child and are are lovely and soft and cosy but they are definitely not adult size unless you are like one that fits like a sausage skin and then rides up during use anyway. Gone back to my Thinsulate brand now of which I've bought about 8 different colours here and would highly recommend. If they advertise these for children or people with small heads they would probably be bang on the money. I'm a slim size 12 lady who normally buys a 'medium' hat in other styles.

Too short
Lovely shade of blue, comfortable - not at all tight or itchy. However only 22 cm in length, so can’t be folded with a nice wide cuff as shown in the picture, and doesn't look right with a narrow cuff that anyway just unfolds itself, or without the cuff. This would possibly be a good fit for a child. It's annoying as everything else was perfect. I ordered two other of these beanies in different colours and one was 29 cm and the other 27 cm in length which made all the difference. All were about 21 cm wide when laid flat and easily stretched to fit my head.

third time lucky
This is the third one of these that I've bought, the previous 2 having been lost by being left behind in resteraunts or old workplaces, so I'm really hoping to hold ot this one. It's a good piece of headwear, fits well (and is elasticated), keeps the head warm, and covers my thinning hair. Nuff said and all good.
