Crystallizing Straight Rebonding Hair Straightener (H1) + Neutralizing Emulsion (#2) SET bundle with SOFIA BY ODE Hair Brush

So I bought 2 of these Japanese treatments on August 26th. One for me and one for my 9 year old daughter who has butt length hair. We both have Mexican and Indigenous heritage. So our hair is thick. My daughter's hair is twice as thick as mine. It's not coarse hair. Its just very thick. I did mine first to see how long it would take and if it would burn or anything like that. It didnt burn it just stinks like rotten eggs. It was easy (but I have done my hair by myself since I was 17-> so it could be hard for you) but it DID take all a long time. I would set aside a full day for this especially if your doing it on your own. I did both of ours in 1 day but because we didn't stop except to eat. If I could this all over again I would buy a silk scarf. The more your bend your hair in the 72 hours, the less straight it's going to be. You have to make sure your hair does not crease or get clipped up or put in a ponytail. It WILL permanently indent your hair. When we slept our face frame baby hairs fuzzed up when in contact with our pillows and blankets-> but its still ok. We didn't have silk scarfs so it's not pin straight like it was on the first day but it's probably 90% more straight than we started. I will say this. My daughter had virgin hair. I think that and the fact that her hair was so well taken care of and THICK naturally-> that it didn't get damaged. She is using the redken. SOFT oil for her hair now. So its alot softer as well as straight. Which is also helping bring back some shine. She has moderate to severe eczema and it didn't break her out or cause any damage. I took really good care to make sure I didn't make contact with her scalp as much as possible. Before my hair was dyed so many clors and heat over use that My hair needed to be treated by The REDKEN BONDING shampoo and conditioner for the last 2 YEARS before using this Japanese Treatment. I DID a small amount of my ends in the back of my head burnt off. I just snipped it in that area so you can't tell. HOWEVER if your hair is processed, dyed, heat treated every week with straighteners and/or blow dryers I would be VERY careful when using this. I checked every 6 min on my hair. I went the full 45 min but still. These chemicals are STRONG. If you have processed hair treat it consistently every day 2 weeks straight before and after with a treatment and hair masks. I use Redken so I was fine. I switched from Redken Bonding to SOFT and its even better now. Overall we had some product left over so if your hair is not super thick or super long I'm sure your can squeeze 2 treatments out of this or do 2 people's hair. I needed one whole pack and so did she but we had a bit of product left. No where near enough to do another head but enough as not to run out. So one goes a long way. It's been two months and our hair is still straight from wash to dry. Even more straight if we blow dry it on medium heat setting with out a brush. Pin straight if we use a straightener on a light heat setting. For us it was worth it. It works as it's supposed to. We love our hairs. We will be using it again when our hair grows out.

I use this on my daughter’s really curly hair every 3 months. We leave the product on for almost an hour as the first 2 times the recommended time wasn’t long enough. So use with caution and use the strand test. It take about 4.5 hours from start to finish. It looks just like a salon job when we are done. Her hair is soft and smooth. Truly a life saver for my daughter. WE LOVE IT!!!

I tried this product one months ago, my hair is around my shoulder, I used half of each package. I noticed my hair is smoother overall, especially it retains its smoothness, even when I shampoo it before bed.Also maybe I didn't use the hot hair iron long enough, it comes out not super straight, it's more like natural straight.

I have bought this for my wife. She got a huge broken hairs right after the day she had applied it. Not sure if we had received an original product at all.

I love using this, natural hair is 4b-4c and it makes my hair so sleek and shiny and easy to manage.The con is this costs more than perms I’m used to from US, but to me it’s so worth it.I’ve used it twice so far, I do it every 4~ months. It takes me like 5 hours to complete it but it’s so worth it to me.

I had this done once when I was overseas. Being that hairdressers here want to charge you about $500 and have no background in using this, I decided to do it myself. It worked wonderfully! My hair is now perfect, silky and straight. I recommend you get on YouTube and watch some of the videos on how to do this because the instructions that come with this are minimal and not sufficient to get it right. The odor isn't as strong as other similar products. This wasn't that difficult to do. It just takes some time to sit there and hot iron your hair a quarter inch at a time. I gave myself a couple deep conditioning treatments the week before I did this to make sure my hair was strong, and I don't see any obvious damage from using this.

I bought and I tried to see if it work as saloon keratin and it did work. I will buy again for sure to my next keratin treatment

I didn’t get the brush. Also, the neutralizer states to leave in 3 minutes, but the product description on the website says 20 minutes. I only left it in for 3 for the strand test and it’s definitely not straight, so FYI for anyone going by the package instructions. As the product does not appear to have ruined my strand, I will proceed with the full head and this time leave the neutralizer in for 20 minutes. Lot of ppl complained about that smell, I wasn’t phased by it. No stronger than what we normally smell in a salon. Pictured is the result of my strand test (more like a nice section, so I could a good feel for the result). Hair feels soft not hard at all, it never felt hard during the process. Will update the review once my entire hair is done.
