This just arrived today and I'm going to use it to cook dinner tonight. Here's my first impressions. Knife looks very nice. I'd consider it a mid weight knife; it's not really cheap light weight nor is it heavy duty. It's got good looking clean steel and an attractive wood grain handle. It arrived in a dense cardboard box with a dense foam insert which is ideal for shipping and transportation.On the down side, the box it came in is not ideal for storage. If you have a wooden knife block then no problem but this box is not easy to clean if it gets dirty which means just to be safe, I will not use the knife right out of the box but I'll wash it before I use it. Next thing is this knife is really dull. I just spend about 10 minutes sharpening it and now it just barley cuts through paper whereas before it wouldn't cut through paper at all. I'll need to do more sharpening again before I can actually use it. Next thing is this knife is made in China. I did not see at the time of purchasing the knife that it was a made in china product. This explains why it was so heavily discounted. No one in their right mind would pay the full asking price for this knife but $20 wasn't terrible.

I wasn't expecting a "$199.99 knife for $20.99" as Amazon promised, but I was still disappointed with the finish of this knife. On the positive side, the wood handle feels very good in my hand, and the knife arrived razor sharp. I tested the hardness of the blade and it was above 55 Rockwell. Unfortunately, the business end of the knife was poorly finished. The tip was bent nearly 3 mm, there were still very coarse scratches on the blade near the bolster. Overall this knife feels good in the hand, it's sharp, and cuts well, but the overall finish leaves something to be desired. It's definitely worth the $20 price though, and it seems like a good quality knife in this price range.Updated: The customer service was fantastic! They contacted me the same day I let them know of the issues, and had a resolution within hours.

Very sharp out of the box. Blade has a few scratches but nothing that will hinder the functionality. Handle is nice looking. I will update later if anything like the other reviews happens. (Handle splits or blade breaks.)

I am the cook and love fine knives and have a number of them. This knife is beautifully made bought two and will give them as Christmas presents.

Nice grip on the handle & blade is sharp. I've been using this for few weeks now and so far so good. No complaints. Used it specifically formeat ( cutting beef to chunks)/ poultry ( slicing boneless breast) and was effortless. My hand does not feel strain ( like it has happened with some knife).

I have used only a couple times but this is my wife's go to knife now. She cuts everything with it. My only complaint is they don't make steak knives like this but I still gave them 5 stars because its worth it.

I absolutely adore this knife. It is the sharpest knife I have ever had and I would recommend this to everyone! It cuts through everything like butter. Get this knife!!!

My husband and I both love and enjoy using this knife. It's very sharp and comfortable to hold. Very happy with my purchase.
