Flat finish. Fits well. Securement is perfect. Countersink securement nut further in recess before attempting securement. Good value.

Exactly the same as the HD mid air deflector. Only difference is the price. HD one is $107. I went with this one. Seems to work, easy to install and way more affordable than the HD. This one a no brainer.

This was an absolute perfect fit and for all purposes appears to be exactly the same as the Harley part. The Harley part is $106.95. Go figure.What is more shameful is that this part should be part of the standard Harley build. Without this heat deflector, the lower right leg is subject to tremendous heat for the engine and exhaust. The reviews on the Harley parts site, reflect how cheaply made the part is and its absolute necessity.

Came without directions, or I lost them. Review pics helped some but it took some head scratching to figure it out.You need to remove your seat then align the 2 halves up. The 2 clips will then snap into place and hold it on while you push the bolt through.Getting the nut to thread was a pain and it's best to put a rag below it so if it falls you can find it.Seemed to go together better when I pushed the nut in as far as it will go.The pics show where everything goes. Once set up the front of the seat helps hold it down/in place. I'm going to put two small dabs of JB Weld on those tabs just for added security

If you ride a Harley, you'll know why I purchased these. Our bikes get hot. These were much more affordable than the Harley ones, and as some others have pointed out, you may only notice a slight decrease in temperature. However, these are making enough of a difference that I can keep my feet on my crash bar as long as I want to; whereas, before I wasn't able to do that for more than 20 seconds due to how hot the inside top of my right thigh got. Before these, stretching my legs out was too uncomfortable. Not anymore. I'm very pleased and will be keeping them.Also, I'm a 60 year old woman and installed these by myself in 10 minutes.

These M8 motors have a spot that cooks my right inner thigh. These guards eliminated the hot spot, look like they were meant to be there, and were an easy install.
