Scholastic Jonty Gentoo HB

We LOVE Julia and Axel (first name basis around this house)! Julia did it again! Jontey is a great story and as always, a strong message for my little one. We have so much fun finding our favorite “tiny perfect thing” in the art of each page decorated by axel. Thank you for another great!

We absolutely loved Jonty Gentoo! It’s rare to find a kids’ book that’s both fun and full of life lessons, but this one hit the mark. The illustrations are bright and engaging, and my kids were instantly drawn to the friendly characters. The storyline is relatable and keeps kids (and parents!) entertained from start to finish. Jonty’s adventures teach about kindness, teamwork, and courage in such a gentle, encouraging way. My little ones now ask to read it over and over, and they even try to spot the small details in the artwork every time. Highly recommend this book as a bedtime favorite or a gift for young readers!

My five year old grandson loved this book about one of his top three animals. The story was easy to understand with extra interesting facts about penguins and other animal, and the glorious illustrations added greatly to the enjoyment of this beautiful book. Julia Donaldson can always be counted on to create gorgeous books for children- we’re never disappointed!

I purchased copies of this book for each of my grandkids, ages 4 & 6. They love this author, as do I, and it didn't disappoint.

Another gorgeous story (both the story itself and the illustrations) from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Jonty Gentoo is a brave, adventurous lovable penguin character who we loved. Loved the educational side of this one too with the clues that suggest Jonty has swam the wrong way and ended up at the North Pole, such as the polar bear and the northern lights. We were able to talk about geography and the wildlife that features in the book as well as enjoy the beautiful story. We all really enjoyed it. It would make a great animation too! Excellent.
