Poor product design. Installed in standard residential application (3/4”) gap between floor and door bottom. Magnet requires less than 3/8” to lift catch. Not possible to install door mount below bottom edge of door since screw holes are at bottom of door mount. Used over $10 in drill bits to drill holes in tile for a failed installation. Finish already coming off product during fitment. Don’t waste your time or money. Other reviewers *must* be bogus.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This was easy to install how ever I agree with other reviews that the gap or strains of the magnet is limiting.I installed both metal plates on top of each other to try and close the gap. The door only had a 1 inch (24 mm) gap and despite the product listing that it would work at this distance it wasn’t even close. Even with both metal stop plates stacked on top of each other this did not work as advertised.I also had to move the magnetic portion on the door down below the recommended install height. You can see from the photo how much it hangs below the door and my suspicion is overtime this will not be strong enough and will be pulled off the adhesive backing.For now, this is functioning with this sub par version of an install. I would give it one star as it doesn’t function at all on the specs listed however after some Jerry rigging it’s functioning as shown.

I really liked the idea of this low profile door stop. Unfortunately you have to have the magnet very low to catch the door stop so if you have any kind of sweep on your door it won’t work. The adhesive on the magnet piece is ok but you need to use the screws. Mine has come off a couple times already.The real problem is the door stop that adheres to the floor. We got a black one so it would match the door hardware. After one use though the paint scrapes off. After a few days you can see the paint looks terrible. I figured some scratching but not like this. Maybe the metal finishes hold up better than the painted ones. I’d recommend avoiding the painted versions of this product though.

I bought this door stop for our metal back door. There is a baseboard radiator right behind the door and the floor is a brand new oak flooring that I did not want to drill into. The adhesive on the floor part of the stop held very well but I had to drill the door to keep the door part attached to the door.. This unit was much better than a wall unit or a floor unit that stick up. The floor catch is barely noticeable and lies flat on the floor. The bronze color blends in well with the flooring and matches all of the new brass door hardware.

I replaced the flooring in my home and decided to bring the door stops to the modern century. I was looking for magnetic door stops since my experience has always been that a strong enough draft will slam a door close. So instead of having to prop open the door, why not have it held open with a magnet?These work very well. It was a little tricky figuring out where to place both halves of the door stop. Initially I used only the adhesion pads that were included, but the magnetic force pulled those off. I took the doors off the hinge to install the piece behind the door by drilling holes and screwing them in place. After placing the door back on the hinge, I'd figure out where to screw down the other piece. Needless to say, it's perfect. I only wish that they came in more colors, but I can always spray paint these to match the knobs and other door hardware.I will say, that if you do not have the placement of the 2 pieces perfectly, or if you have anything hanging behind the door and the magnet cannot catch, the door will not stay open and does slam shut with a strong enough breeze.

I’d been looking for a better solution for door stoppers for high traffic areas of the house after patching 3 holes from standard style stoppers when I found these. Tried on on the front door and it worked like a charm, eventually got them for each door in the house. Great solution when you have stone floors and baseboards and don’t want to drill holes in your doors. Floor plates are low profile and don’t impact the vacuum. This product even worked with one of our “gappy” doors (about 1/2” gap when open). The only thing I had to do on one door was use stronger adhesive but that’s a function of my door not the product.

This is a great product and works well IF your door is at the right distance from the floor. The magnet needs to be close enough to the base to react so if your door is too high off the floor it won't work. When used on a door with the appropriate clearance, it works very nice. Clicks quietly into place and stays, but doesn't take a ton of force to pull the door off the magnet. We only used the 3M tape instead of the screws and it stays well. Good product for a good price - just be sure to measure your door clearance first.

I love the idea and the material its made. Its Super super easy to install and it comes with 3M tape with screws. the only problem I have and hate about it is that when your door have a huge gap from the floor. Then you will not able to use this and its hard for the magnet to pick up the metal piece. Overall its great product

Pues déjenme decirles que tiene suficiente sujeción para ello, sólo deben poner primero la de abajo (la más delgada) y ya fija esta poner la otra (la que trae imán) en la puerta, que quede al ras el imán con la parte de abajo (otra pieza).Fácil instalación, ni siquiera usé los tornillos, sólo la cinta 3M que trae, deben limpiar bien las zonas dónde la van a pegar para que pegue sin problema, la cinta tiene suficiente fuerza de agarre dónde se pegue.

Tenía mis dudas por las calificaciones y algunos comentarios, pero me sorprendió gratamente.Dejamos a nuestros perros dentro de la casa y siempre me preocupaba que se quedaran encerrados en alguno de los cuartos que tienen la puerta abierta y por lo mismo ponía algo que evitara que pudieran mover, pero estos topes son una maravilla y ya no tengo que poner nada. Instalé el primero sin seguir las instrucciones y no tenía el agarre correcto, pero al buscar si había hecho algo incorrecto, me di cuenta que sí, así que les recomiendo que sigan las instrucciones y dejen una altura suficiente para que el imán haga su función.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Bastante util! Este es sin duda de los mejores inventos del hombre blanco en el ultimo siglo!Es facil y rapido de instalar. Lo puse con el adhesivo doblecara de 3m que viene incluido y ya lleva una semana puesto sin haberse despegado. Notese en mi video que lo puse al reves de como se deberia, pues a mi me sirvió mejor asi por que mi puerta esta muy al ras del piso.

Aunque pegamos el soporte tal y como indican las instrucciones, la parte de la puerta se despegó a los dos días. Hemos vuelto a pegarla con un pegamento, veremos si dura.Cuando abres la puerta y llega al tope, hace mucho ruido "clack" y no sé hasta qué punto queda fuertemente retenida. Veremos algún día que haya corriente de aire si aguanta.En uno de los dos topes que compramos faltaba uno de los adhesivos.

Solo he podido colocar el tope del suelo. La puerta al tener un pequeñísimo borde que la enmarca, hace que halla que ponerlo a una distancia que no funciona el iman.
