Candlelight Service Candles 250 Candles Per Box 5" x 1/2" White Church Vigil Candles

The candles are great, However, in the description it said that the candles are 5" tall x 1/2" diameter. The candles are 5" ONLY if you stretch the wicks completely out, so the candles are actually only 4 1/2" tall. The description is a little misleading.

I must admit I use them for Shabbat! They are thinner than the ones you get in the supermarket. They light right away, don’t drip a lot, and fasten immediately when you melt the bottoms. Much the best Shabbat candles I have ever used.

These worked great and were cheaper than any others that I could find! We just needed the candles and not everything else so this was a great find! Thank you!

Make sure to count the candles. There may be some missing.

There is one problem with the candles I received: they are not 1/2” diameter at the base. There is a slight flare at the bottom of the candle. Because of this, the candles are slightly larger and do not fit into my 1/2” candle holders. So, instead of shaving the ends of each candle, I bought a 9/16” drill bit and made the opening in the candle holders large enough to fit the candles. Why didn’t I just return the candles? Because the low price per candle makes them worth keeping.

These burn very clean and I would recommend them. Just a note they will not fit a regular candle holder as they are 1/2 inch diameter-but as others have said melt a drop or two of wax in the bottom of the holder and stick the candle to it works. I would recommend.
