I needed a drive to watch DVDs on my computer. It was easy to use I simply had to plug it in and it started up right away. It was perfectly compatible with my power DVD player program and played my DVD perfectly. The build is pretty sleek and it's not too loud. It perfectly fits by my computer. Love the case it comes with it's cute and protects the drive well.

Here is my early opinion on this disc drive after playing and ripping a few audio and data CDs:Pros-- It comes with lots of ports and features for a relatively low price.-- The power cable holder being built into the bottom of the device is helpful for traveling.-- It is truly plug and play on my Windows 11 Lenovo laptop. You don't have to download any additional software or install any drivers if you already have Windows Media Player or something similar.-- The CD reading and CD ripping speeds are neither slow nor fast, just about what you'd expect from those tasks. It took around 5 minutes for it to open and extract a data CD containing a 700 MB zip file. And it took roughly 5 minutes to rip a 280 MB music CD into .WAV lossless audio files.-- You can get a free 2-year warranty extension after emailing the manufacturer your order number.Cons-- The power cable is shorter than I would have liked. You will have to set this drive right next to your PC's USB port.-- It's so lightweight that the whole thing moves when I push the disc tray back into place after opening it. The mechanical eject button only works for sliding the tray out, not pushing it back in.-- The super highpitched whining noise that it makes while functioning is a bit ear-grating. If you have a high sensitivity to sound, you'll want to wear noise-cancelling headphones while using this drive.-- The ROOFULL logo sticker on top of the device looks cheap, so I just peeled it off so that it wouldn't be such an aesthetic eyesore.-- Whoever's packing this company's shipments is putting A LOT of faith into their foam carrying case, because that's the only protection it shipped with inside of a thin plastic bag.Final VerdictWith all that said, for only $30, I'd still say that the cons are mostly just nitpicks and not dealbreakers.I currently plan on keeping this drive and just dealing with the fact that it's good but less than perfect.

This Roofull external disk player devise is great. Easy to plugin and extract. Works without needing any computer knowledge. The carrying case that comes with it is an extra bonus. It makes it really easy and convenient to transport and store. It is a great buy for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

1- Using this on the Macbook is a breeze. I can select files, right-click on them, and chose ‘burn to disc’. So easy. My PC on the ither hand, I haven’t quite figured out but others seemed to easily enough, so that’s on me.2- The carry case is very well made, quality material, and i think it will hold up for a very long time. Very protective.3- is my favorite, the cord tucks into crevices of the underbelly of the device so it is neatly put away. It is fixed to the unit so i won’t lose it, and Y’s into USB and USB-C tips.

What a neat little drive! The Apple SuperDrive can't be bought retail, at least anywhere I've looked (anymore), so I was kind of hard pressed to find a suitable replacement. This fits the bill quite nicely. It integrates with my 2017 MacBook Pro seamlessly, and not only that, but it makes GREAT and READABLE copies. Setup was a snap. There's a cable that even plugs into a wall wart (not included) and gives an extra oomph of power, right when you need it. AND to top it all off, customer service is A #1!! If you like it and decide to keep it they'll throw in an additional 2 year warranty, making this a no-brainer of a purchase for little audiophile me!! Thanks so much for such an amazing item.

I got this external CD/DVD drive to transfer my wedding photos from an old CD to the cloud, and it worked perfectly! Super easy to use—just plugged it into my laptop and it was ready to go. No extra setup or tech headaches.I was able to pull the photos off the disc and upload them to Amazon Photos without any issues. It’s lightweight and easy to tuck away when I’m not using it, which I really appreciate since space is tight on my desk.It also comes with both USB 3.0 and USB-C connections, which made it super flexible for different devices. I purchased a RF40-SU CD/DVD drive. It is a solid drive and works very easily and well. I use it to play music, and often time movies, during the time that I am on my computer and it is flawless. I also use it to record CDs and DVDs using various softwares. It connects to my system with either a USB 3.0 type A or a USB 3.0 type C connector. It also has an USB hub built in. It has 1 USB-A 3.0 port, 3 USB-A 2.0 ports, 1 SD card slot, and 1 micro-SD card slot, I can connect it to anything to do what I need to do and it is especially useful as my laptop has only 2 USB-A 3.0 ports and 1 USB-C port so this CD/DVD player/recorder extends my capabilities.
