Works well and very attractive on my deck
Bought this to replace an older similar lantern. Glad to say it worked perfectly first day. Like Solar better than batteries to constantly replace. Excellent price for nice way to spruce up my deck. I keep my lanterns out all year

Excellent Candle Ambiance
I have enjoyed this product more than anything I have ever bought on-line from anyone. The metal is lightweight, but not flimsy. The glass looks great behind the arches. The dark inconspicuous Solar cell is on top of the lid, which is hinged for easy glass cleaning and the clasp that locks the lid is small and attractive. The candle is the perfect size for the lantern. The flame is a deep yellow, the soft white candle looks like wax, glows at night, and has faint drip impressions on the side. The top edge of the candle is wavy to simulate how a real candle burns unevenly. The lights flicker gently. The bronze finish is a nice mixture of dark brown, brown and gold overtones. The bottom is dark brown and neat, but the bottom of the round candle ring can be seen on the bottom because it is securely attached to the bottom (so get out your brown paint for small touch up, if you are hanging them high). I bought these to hang in a screen room and the Brushed Bronze Panacea Plant Bracket (100506642) with Scroll is a perfect match. My screen room is not finished yet so they got wet during a rain, with no ill effects, but I brought them inside the house to enjoy at night. A sunny window with a Duracell is enough to keep them burning all night. The four candles I have are exactly alike, and while moving them around, I don't always have them turned with the same side showing. One night, it looked like two of the candle's wicks had actually burned down lower than the others, and I thought WHAT! Then I realized they all look alike, when they are all turned with the same side out. They are so pretty, I was fooled for a second.

Very cute! Buy it!
I decided to improve my porch appeal and bought this in addition to a few other new items. I am quite impressed with the quality of this and it is very cute. It is very sturdy, but lightweight and definitely could be hung, but I have it sitting on a cute table. The light is visible from quite a distance.

Nice appearance, good glow: lightly built
Compared to metal lamps like this I’ve owned before, this plastic lamp is very light. I’ve found it blown over by the wind, so concerned about long-term durability. Good piece though. Glow/color is a warm yellow.

Lovely light
We have tried every outdoor solar light out there that meets our wish for a metal lantern with a more yellow, soft light. Bright white light is not for this yard! After our beloved, longest-lasting solar torch-shaped light stopped working, I was on a quest. We got it here on Amazon and it lasted since 2014, but is no longer available. We have many of the expensive lanterns (now 2 for $140!!) from Plow & Hearth and their solar strips go bad after a couple years and they've had to go to metal recycling. No more of those.I took a chance on this one and so far, I'm very happy. The candle lights up to a softer, more yellow glow. It flickers slightly, which we could do without. But it really makes it more realistic. The lantern part is thinner metal, but looks nice. What I like is how long into the late night it lasts, and it lights up to see the whole lantern effect. Some lights don't do this. So it is an extra bonus to look out onto a large glowing lantern. The battery can be changed out. I just bought one to try it - but at 2/$50 -- a much better deal than the Plow & Hearth ones for sure. Hope they last!

A sturdy, good looking lantern that actually works well
We've purchased and returned a number of solar lanterns for use as pathway highlights. In all cases, the returned items just did not stay lit very long despite full charging of batteries. These lanterns seem to be well designed with a solar panel that is well matched to the battery it charges. As a result, these lamps stay lit all night. They will NOT light your pathway but are a good looking accent light. That said, they are much brighter than other single lamp, flickering LED lanterns we have seen. We purchased 18 lamps and only one arrived with broken glass panes which are easily replaced. These lanterns are powered by 300 mah batteries. As a test, we changed one lanterns battery to a 600 mah and placed it beside another lamp with a 300 mah battery. Both burned all night and were as bright at 6 am as they were at 7 pm the night before. We're really pleased with these lamps, even having to replace some glass in one! Best value we found for style, metal and glass construction, and most importantly, functionality.3 YEAR UPDATE: We have had these lanterns outdoors for over three years now. Only negative is provided batteries did not tolerate our high desert climate (100+ F in summer, occasionally below zero F in the winter). Installed Energizer rechargeable AA batteries in year 2 and they have been running and looking great for over 3 years. Unfortunately, one lantern quit working. LED burnt out. During troubleshooting, I opened up lantern and when I grasped the candle it crumbled to pieces. The plastic does not hold up to UV light and heat. Well not entirely unexpected. Ordered a replacement unit which just arrived. Somewhat disappointed that the glass lenses are now plastic. I get it. The biggest complaint people have had is that their order arrived and one or more of the glass lenses was broken. No big deal, glass is cheap and very easy to replace. We have set out the new lantern with the plastic lenses to see how long they will last before clouding over, which plastic lenses always do. The unit is the same quality as those we bought originally, except for the plastic lenses. Will probably change out the plastic for glass at some point, just for the added weight which we need here with the winds we get. Still a GREAT PRODUCT. Now, if the manufacturer will offer spare parts (the plastic candle, LED bulb and solar panel), the units are so sturdy, you could keep them functional for a very long time. Still love ‘em!
