This stuff is worth the price. My plants have never been better or bigger. It has more of an "earthy" smell than regular dirt you'd buy from the big box, but that's ok as well, that means it's very healthy. It drains well (think like potting soil drains), and has been awesome for all of my indoor plants. The PH balance is spot on as well at 6.8

Perfect for growing medicinal plants. There are the perfect base amount of macro/micronutrients present to where you can have your own fertilizer regime. It has the optimal pH, fantastic water retention, and good drainage. It is a bit on the pricey side compared to synthetic based nutrient substrates, but it is absolutely worth the price. The substrate arrived well moistened; not saturated or bone dry.The only thing that concerns me about the product is that it is the ingredients are organic, which can lead to some ethics questions. The ingredients in question are "aged forest product", sphagnum peat moss, and bat guano.

Go to expensive potting mix for your special plants needs. Helped boost plant growth and no need to fertilize for a bit after planting since the mix has some in it.

Honestly this is just a good, name brand product. You get exactly what is described and expected. A top tier brand for your soil whether inside or outside. Perfect for starting off seedlings, with a good balance of nutrients to help kickstart their life. It sucks up water like a champ, unlike some other soil sellers where the soil has to be drowned, this soil is just perfect. Functional for all your leafy greens. Remember to mix in your top dressing after 2 weeks.
