worked like a charm
i had low expectations that this replacement piece would actually work on doors 25 yr old -- had ordered a backup solution because I thought there was no way-- i was so wrong - took longer to prepare the backup for return than to install 2 of these -- fit perfectly -- absolutely zero air leaking through either threshold now -- could not be more pleased with the result

not even close to 3/4" like advertised
I ordered these to replace the 1/2" seals that came with the door sweeps that I bought since they are a bit too short and I can't adjust the aluminum any farther down. The ones on the right are advertised as 1/2" and the new supposed 3/4" ones are on the left. The black ones are more like 7/16". Granted these were that expensive, I'm more upset that I had to wait a week for these to find out they aren't even close to what they are supposed to be.

Specifications changed from prior purchase.
I ordered this replacement seal from my archived Amazon order from July 2021. Of course, the seal didn't up and fail all at once. It showed signs of wear months ago. The point of mentioning this is that the new seal did not match the exact dimension of the previous one, despite it coming from the same manufacturer and same product number. It fit the grooves in the bottom of the door, but somewhat loosely. The old seal measured 27mm; the new, 25mm. This "slop" probably affects the effort needed to open the door and could affect the longevity of the seal. The height or thickness also was different. Measured at the hinge end (much less wear) the height or thickness of the seal, after three years,is 11mm vs. the new seal's 10mm. That 1mm made a difference in getting a proper seal, requiring that I adjust the bracket it slides into. That's five screws and a lot of trial and error. A lot! All that work of removing the screws then repeatedly having to loosen and tighten them caused the phillips head to wear a lot. I wished I had anticipated this and purchased some replacement screws before I started. I ended up having to drill a couple of pilot holes to move two of the screws to a different location in order to achieve the proper seal. TIPS: Use a box cutter to break any paint seal on the bracket that holds the door seal. Take a screw to your hardware store before you begin and get some replacements. Have a pad for your knees. Do this during daylight hours so you can see whether you are getting the proper seal (no light under the door). The attached photos show the old seal (higher and wider) vs. the new.

Worked well
This was exactly what I was looking for. It was a little tricky to install. I was able to bend it to fit into the track under the door. It was a bit wider than I needed, but the material allowed for some leeway. For the price it was a good value. I cut a few inches off once installed.

Exact replacement
Fit old threshold perfect and was cheap. Note, remove the metal threshhold to install. Seems obvious but sometimes you have those durh moments.
