LOVED the bacon burnt ends! I really enjoy bacon jerky anyways and have made my own on a few occasions. The flavor and the texture of these really adds something unique that I very much enjoyed! The rest of the varieties were “meh”. I might buy the Texas BBQ again, but definitely not either of the chicken jerky flavors. Not sure if it was more the flavor or the texture, but something was definitely off about them. Get the bacon, consider the beef, skip the chicken.

I ordered about a week or so ago and then I started going through the reviews afterwards. Based off of some of the reviews I started to get a little nervous thinking "did I just waste my money". Just tried the bacon burnt ends and chili crisp chicken, and damn that s*** was good. I guess some other folks on here have texture issues with jerky(if its too tender they may think its undercooked or something) but in my opinion it was some of the best jerky I've had hands down. I love a tender well seasoned piece of jerky and Max and everyone involved nailed it. The price point is a little steep for 4 bags of 2.5 oz of jerky, but the quality was tippy top. Can't wait to try the other two.

I've been watching Max's videos for years now and always wanted to try his jerky. But this is literally a crime, the bags were half empty and the jerky is textured like cardboard and bad flavors all around. The Sichuan variety was the only saving grace, if only there was even a decent amount for me to be able to enjoy. And all this for $40! All I can say is that I'm severely disappointed in Max and this scam of a product and will definitely never be buying his jerky again.

I was pretty hyped to try Max’s Jerky as I enjoy watching his videos online. I was initially turned away because of the significant price, but decided to at least try it once using the 25% coupon.Man what a huge letdown. The packaging is nice and the flavor mix was interesting, but it just didn’t taste all that great.The chicken/beef jerky’s texture is way too soft and stringy. It lacked any bite to it. The Texas BBQ flavor wasn’t anything special and the Sichuan lacked punch. The Sichuan flavor I think needs to be stronger, but the signature numbing of the peppercorns is satisfyingThe bacon’s flavor was good, but I didn’t enjoy biting into straight fat (I expected it to be fatty, but not globs of it with no meat).Overall, I want to give it three stars, but the aggressive pricing makes me give it a two. Honestly, this product has lowered my opinion of Max a little bit. His content and pricing made me hope for an excellent, artisanal product. Unfortunately, this made me feel the product to be playing off of Max’s popularity to further a primarily business cash grab instead of artisanal jerky.

Warning - the Montreal Maple Bacon Burnt Ends are ADDICTIVE

The jerky seemed to be of inconsistent quality from flavor to flavor. 1 of the 4 bags was expired (but edible and not way out of date). One of the bags had part of the jerky poking into the seal. The product's good points are that it is handcrafted without all the chemicals and preservatives that you get with a lot of the other ones, and, in my opinion, they seemed to a good job with the flavor. I did not follow up on the previous points because it just wasn't important to me at the time.
