Muscle Feast is becoming my GOTO brand - clean ingredients, transparent processes, great prices!
[UPDATE - Effectiveness]I have been looking for a high quality protein without any fillers (sucralose, aspartame, "natural and artificial flavors" that companies won't reveal what they are made of, etc.). There are very few if any (other than muscle feast) that are so clean and don't have all these fillers just to improve the consistency and taste. Muscle feast has clean and transparent ingredients which was the most important for me.It was also crucial for me that the whey comes from grass fed free range cows, because the dairy industry is just horrible right now, and I cannot trust the quality of a product which does not explicitly say "hormone free" and "grass fed".The package arrived in good condition, has a tamper proof seal. It mixes really well and easily in water and tastes great.Effectiveness - I've been having this product for a week now, and I find that it absorbs very well. I do not have any bloating or digestive issues which was often the case with the Gold Standard products, as well as a few others. This brand seems to care about each aspect of the production, so I don't suspect those will be issues that interfere with the absorption of this protein supplement. Why fillers are important for me - There are studies that companies will cite about how sucralose/aspartame/etc. are safe for consumption in small amounts, and how clinical studies have shown that even higher doses have not done anything. However, the effect of these artificial chemicals builds up over a long period. Official safe limits for sucralose are 400mg per day, and the top selling products use 250 to 350mg of sucralose in just a pre or a post workout. Someone needs to get these supplements tested since the manufacturers won't disclose the amount of sucralose they put in their product. And finally, why put artificial substances in your product anyway, when good taste/quality can be achieved without them. It just shows that where the priorities of a company are - putting out the best possible product versus ensuring better taste/consistency so that more people will buy based on instinct as opposed to education.

calorie and protein ratio
The calorie and protein ratio is very good. Only the product has difficulty dissolving in milk or water. A creamy product is not formed. Also, when it interacts with liquid, there are too many bubbles, it seems like a chemical reaction is taking place. This did not happen with other protein powders I used.

Experience remains overall satisfying
A lot people are probably thinking, is this as good as it gets?Well for the curious, this protein is imported from Germany, and thanks to EU Regulations, you can be rest-assured that it meets the definition of clean. On the other hand, taste-wise (Chocolate Flavor), its a bit sour and sweet at the same time, perhaps the Stevia is the key-factor here? However, I haven't had any bloating issues with this protein powder; digests just fine and has a semi-smooth consistency. The reason I rate this four stars is that it boils down to price and the number of servings, no doubt---its pricey (I feel it can be had a lot less in terms of price, if MyProtein is able to do it, so should Muscle Feast). I'm having to add 1.25 scoops of this Muscle Feast Protein powder to meet my requirements. For anyone wondering why the label changed, here is the answer directly from the CEO of Muscle Feast himself,"Most of our proteins come from Germany. We used to get them exclusively from Wisconsin because of the low use of artificial growth hormone but getting the proteins from Germany ensures all our proteins are 100% free of artificial hormones because they are legal in Germany. As for protein content, if you go to labdoor.com and look at the protein powders you will notice that most companies significantly overstate their protein percentages. Our product was over stated by about .7 grams. We also took re-weighed all of our products, so on our Hormone Free Isolate, the weight dropped from 28 grams to 24 grams and we adjusted the protein percentage to be identical to what labdoor has posted. The number of servings on a 5lb container went from 81 to 94 servings and the percentage of claimed protein went down slightly. The net result is that we now have the most accurate labels of any protein sold anywhere in the world. You will find other companies that state higher ratios but if you look at labdoor, none of them are delivering higher levels."It's still high quality protein---no doubt in that, therefore '4' stars! :)

Pretty Good Protein Powder
I just got this today and tried it out after my workout. This is the first protein powder I have bought in a very long time. I used to work out off and on about 20 years ago and used a protein powder then but I don't remember what brand or type. During the last 20 years, I have discovered that I have a somewhat intolerance to lactose, so I needed to find an isolate powder. I have a 2 qt. manual mixer that I used for this powder and found it to blend fairly well. There were some small chunks but nothing major and I wasn't bothered with the very small globs (for the lack of a better term) that I swallowed. I figure 95% of the powder blended smoothly. Taste is very subjective and everyone has either a tolerance or intolerance to various flavors. I bought the chocolate, which seemed to taste good to me. I mixed it with vanilla almond milk. The sweetness was, maybe, a little too much but certainly not objectionable. For my taste, if they used a tad less Stevia, it would be perfect. The next time I buy a protein powder, I may try it unflavored and mix it with chocolate almond milk and see how that goes. I gave this 4 stars but it rates more like 4.5 stars to me. The half star reduction is because this particular product has only 20.5 grams of protein per serving, while most others have 25-28+ grams, which makes this a little more costly to use ($$/gram) from a value standpoint. I understand this is a more pure protein powder with no fillers, sucralose or other artificial ingredients but there are other powders out there that aren't terrible in that respect that are a slightly better value. However, I would probably buy this again and would certainly recommend it.

Perfect compromise between flavor and fillers
I absolutely love this product. I purchased this and a flavorless, grass fed whey (from another company) at the same time. I'd gone through a small bag of flavorless, grass fed whey isolate product and enjoyed the fact that I wasn't getting any extra fillers with that particular product. I'd been using it in my coffee in the mornings. Despite the love affair with flavorless (which has continued with Realist Lifestyle's Ghost Isolate), I wanted a little more flexibility and was missing the flavor that I was used to from the more "ingrediented" powders. But I still wanted to stay true to my quest for minimal filler, minimal sugar/artificial flavoring and so on. I read several third party testing reviews for Muscle Feast's chocolate and decided to try it. Was not at all disappointed. The flavor is very subtle, not sickeningly chocolate. It is just enough to let me go beyond my usual cup of coffee. I haven't experienced any bloat or gassiness, but I normally don't with isolates. This mixes superbly in hot liquid. No clumping or gelling. As in my previous review of my first "clean" grass fed, I'm really hoping that the cost per serving will come in line with other less desirable powders. I'm assuming that the more of us that choose grass-fed, minimal products the more likely the price is to go down. Regardless, I am happy to dish out that little additional $ for my 1 to 1 1/2 servings per day. If I were consuming more, I might be inclined to go to something cheaper. This suits my needs for now.
